How it works

Paste a title and watch a SERP-style preview update. We highlight when you exceed the common ~60-character cutoff used by most desktop search results.

Methodology

Search engines render titles in pixels, not characters, so any character cutoff is an estimate. 60 characters is the conservative number widely used in SEO tooling. Wide uppercase letters (M, W) hit the cutoff sooner; narrow letters (i, l) later.

Frequently asked questions

Why might Google rewrite my title?

If your title is overly long, keyword-stuffed, or doesn't match the page's content, Google may rewrite it from your H1 or other on-page text. Clear, accurate titles are usually kept as-is.

Should every page have a unique title?

Yes. Duplicate titles confuse both readers and search engines.
